Institute for Retired Persons (IRP) Scholarship

The Institute for Retired Persons (IRP) provides up to three Salisbury University students scholarships for the upcoming academic year. Minimum eligibility requirements include: full-time senior status for the upcoming award period; cumulative GPA 2.80; financial need from the FAFSA and short essay. Open to all majors. This is a non-renewable scholarship but you may reapply.

The Institute for Retired Persons is designed for adults aged 50 and above and offers programs to enlighten, educate and promote a better understanding of our world. The members meet every Tuesday at 2 pm during the University’s fall and spring semesters at the Bradford Room of the MAC Center. Recipients of the scholarship will be invited to attend the first IRP meeting of the fall semester in September to be formally recognized by the organization. Selected recipients should make every effort to attend the IRP meeting in September.
