Charles E. Elliott Memorial Scholarship

Charles Elliott was from Baltimore, MD and moved to Salisbury to attend Salisbury State College in 1974. Elliott, a Social Work major, was a member of the football team and president of the Black Student Union. He was also a founding member of the Gamma Kappa chapter of the Omega Psi Phi fraternity who continued to be involved with the SU campus after graduation. As the president of the Maryland Football Association for 15 years and as a Raven’s Rise youth football advisory board member, Charles was an advocate for resources to educate and empower the youth in the Baltimore area.
