Clinton Bradway Scholarship

Mr. Clinton G. Bradway, a distinguished secondary school teacher, and administrator for 34 years, the Cambridge native was a member of the Salisbury State University Alumni Association Board of Directors, and the Class of 1956, playing a key role in the funding and construction of the Alumni House. After graduating from then Salisbury Teachers College, Bradway taught eighth grade, social education at Aberdeen High School in Harford County from 1956-58, then English at Cambridge Junior High School in Dorchester County until 1965. In 1960-61, he was the youngest person to ever serve as president of the Dorchester County Teachers Association. In 1964 he played a major role in integrating the two segregated teachers associations in the county. He moved out of the classroom into the principal’s office in 1965 and spent the next 25 years as a secondary school administrator in Anne Arundel County. In 1968 he earned his M.Ed. From the University of Maryland College Park.
