Gootee Scholarship

Ralph Gootee graduated from SU in 2005 with a BS degree in mathematics and computer science. During his time at SU, Ralph impressed his professors and peers with his enthusiasm for research, strong work ethic, and academic drive. Ralph went on to become co-founder and CTO of PlanGrid, which was funded by YC in 2012 and acquired by Autodesk in 2018 for $875m. Prior to PlanGrid, Ralph worked for Pixar as a rendering engineer, helped Sony launch its first Android smartphone, and researched missile defense for Johns Hopkins University where he earned his master’s degree in mathematics. Ralph spends his free time programming, reading literature, drawing, and rock climbing.
