Hunter Smith Athletic Training Scholarship Endowment

Hunter Smith Athletic Training Scholarship Endowment

The scholarship that bears my name was designed by many friends, peers, and colleagues of mine while I worked as an Athletic Trainer for forty years. My first full-time employment as an Athletic Trainer and professor was at Salisbury University from 1972 to 1982. I began an educational program in Athletic Training/Sports Medicine during those years. The scholarship is to provide funding for students highly motivated to learn and practice in the field of injury care, prevention, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. I am a native of Salisbury, MD and so proud that the Salisbury Foundation has endowed a scholarship in my honor. I hope students receiving this scholarship will provide excellent care of athletic injuries.
