Marchan R. Ball Memorial Award in History and Social Sciences Education

Mr. Ball was a graduate of North Dorchester High School, and obtained his bachelor of arts degree in history education from Salisbury State College.

A retired teacher, he taught at Wicomico Middle School for 35 years. Following retirement, he worked four years at the Wicomico County Board of Education and also at Salisbury University as a school liaison and intern supervisor. He was a member of the Wicomico County Education Association and an avid reader and writer.
