The Dorrego Family Scholarship

Joseph and Gretchen Dorrego established The Dorrego Family Scholarship in 2021 to assist in reducing financial barriers for students who have demonstrated both academic excellence and a commitment to serving their communities. Joseph and Gretchen, along with their daughters Sofia and Alexandra strongly believe that access to education can transform not only an individual’s future, but also the well-being of families and communities. This scholarship is intended to recognize and support students who have worked hard to achieve strong academic results while also dedicating time and energy to helping others.

Joseph is an alum of Salisbury University, which was known as Salisbury State University in 1996 when he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Perdue School of Business, subsequently earning an MBA from New York University. After graduating from SU, Joseph started his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLC, serving clients in the telecommunications and professional sports industries. In 2004, Joseph joined what is now FOX Corporation, where he has held several executive roles, currently serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer of FOX News Media.
