The Garner/Emery Accounting Scholarship

Dr. Michael Garner
As a former engineer and entrepreneur, Dr. Garner had a lifetime of business experience when he arrived at SU, including a stint of teaching in New Zealand for three years. He would then spend the next 26 years teaching upper-division accounting classes. His passion was spending a lot of time advising students on their career directions.

Dr. Rebecca Emery
Becky served as the Director of Career Services for twenty years working with a great team of student service professionals to provide students with career guidance and job acquisition systems and working with recruiters to provide job and internship opportunities to SU students.
