The Maria Calafiura Scholarship

In 2003, Salisbury University senior Julia Jendyk received the first Calafiura Scholarship, established for the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business.

Marie Calafiura, an adjunct faculty member at the Perdue School since the late 1980s, said she established the scholarship after her own experiences in college.
“I went through school on scholarship, grants and loans, and I know what it feels like during that senior year,” she said. “I wanted to help.”

Calafiura received her Master of Business Administration from SU in 1989.
