The Victor H. Laws Jr. Scholarship

The Victor H. Laws Jr. Scholarship

Mr. Laws attended SU in 1935 when the school was the State Teacher’s College. He then transferred to the University of Maryland, College Park, where he pursued a law degree. After passing he left a portion of his estate to be endowed in a scholarship. His sons, Honorable Victor Laws and Jerry Laws, ensured that his request was fulfilled and established the Victor H. Laws scholarship that will help students studying pre-law. Mr. Laws credits his success to his time at SU, and this scholarship allows him to give back to future generations of SU students and help them reach their academic and career goals.
