William H. Wroten Jr. Scholarship in History
Dr. William H. Wroten passed away in 2006. He was an Easton native. Before working at Salisbury University as a professor and chairman for the history and political science departments, which he worked for 25 years until his retirement in 1980, Dr. Wroten taught at many other Universities on the East Coast. He had a regular column on Delmarva history in The Salisbury Daily Times as well as a WBOC-TV program, and he also wrote History of Assateague Island which was published by Tidewater Press.
