Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) - Student Emergency Grant Funds

As of midnight Thursday 2/24/22 ALL funding has been exhausted, NO NEW APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR SPRING 2022

The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021 included additional COVID-19 relief through the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations (CRRSA) Act. This funding is available through the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) created by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

Salisbury University has received additional Federal HEEFR III funding for the Spring 2022 semester. Application process will begin here on 2/7/22 and run for two weeks until 2/20/22 OR until all funding has been exhausted! Be advised that the application process may close prior to 2/20/22 if all funding has been exhausted for spring

These emergency grants will assist currently enrolled (spring 2022) SU students experiencing financial hardships with expenses related to:

Any component of your cost of attendance such as tuition, fees, food, housing, books and supplies, transportation and personal expenses.
Other emergency cost or expenses that arise due to the Coronavirus, such as, but not limited to, computer and internet service, health care and child care.

Who is Eligible for the SU Emergency HEERF III Grant?
*A student must meet all criteria listed to qualify:
*A student who is currently enrolled in an SU degree or certificate program for spring 2022 semester.

Who is Not Eligible for the SU Emergency HEERF III Grant?
*Students enrolled in a non-degree program.
*Students that are enrolled in dual and/or concurrent courses (High school).
*Students who have already withdrawn from all spring 2022 classes.
*Students who are admitted for fall 2022
*Students enrolled in UMUC Kaiserslautern-Kapaun (Germany)

Apply for HEERF III Grant:
Students need to apply using the SU Emergency HEERF III Grant application included here.
*Requests for emergency grant assistance will be reviewed by the SU Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.
*Please allow up to *14 business days
to receive an email response from our office regarding the status of your application.
*Students may be asked to provide additional information or documentation to support their request.
*Funding is limited and not all requests will be granted.
*The maximum amount a student can request is $2,500 combined from fall 2021 and spring 2022. Example – if you received $1,500 HEERF funding for fall 2021 you may only request $1,000 for spring 2022.
*Applications will continue to be reviewed until funding has been exhausted. Not everyone who applies for funding will be awarded. You may not receive the full amount of funding you have requested for spring.
