CMA - Certified Management Accountant

Are you planning to be a management, finance, or accounting professional working in industry? Would you like to highlight your current knowledge and skills to interested employers? You could do so by passing the CMA exam and becoming a CMA Candidate prior to graduation.

Through the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA®), graduate and undergraduate students in the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University can apply for a nomination to receive one of ten CMA scholarships. To learn more about the CMA Click Here

What is included?
· Entrance fee to the CMA program
· Exam support package with retired exam questions and a glossary of terms
· Registration fees covering both parts of the exam (additional fees will apply for retakes)
· Wiley CMA excel Online Test Bank access for both exam parts for up to two years (U.S. students only)
· Up to three years of IMA membership while pursuing the certification

Am I Eligible?
· Currently enrolled full time in a bachelor’s or master’s business degree program at SU
· Scholarships are awarded based on faculty nomination.
· Completion of ACCT 302 Cost Accounting I with a B or higher at Salisbury University
· Intent to take the CMA exam and become a CMA

How Do I Apply?
· The email address the students should use to submit their application is dals@salisbury.edu
· Please include a statement of purpose in the body of your email, your resume (pdf) attached along with your program of study, expected graduation date, and mailing address.

Who Will Be Chosen?
· Applicants will be ranked based on academic performance in accounting courses and overall GPA.
· Awards will be made to students in order of ranking until (1) all scholarships have been issued or (2) all applicants have received scholarships.
· 5 Awards will be made for each application cycle. Submission for the five spring awards must be received no later than March 1st at 5:00 pm.
