Dr. Diane Davis Medical Lab Science Scholarship

The Dr. Diane Davis Medical Lab Science scholarship will provide funding to an undergraduate student enrolled full time pursuing a degree in Medical Lab Science. The scholarship can be renewed as long as minimum criteria are met and student remains in the eligible major.

Research and real-world lab experiences were a focus of Dr. Diane Davis’ teaching during her 35+ year career in the MLS Program at SU before retiring as Director of the program in July 2022. She mentored hundreds of students as they embraced opportunities to study organism survival on various surface materials and the effects of specimen adulteration on drug testing. These studies have the potential to make an impact on the medical field, and some of their findings have been published.

In April 2023, Dr. Davis’ loving husband and children established this endowed scholarship in Diane’s name to forever honor her legacy and her dedication to the MLS program.
