PHEAA Announces No-Essay Scholarship for College-Bound Students

The Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA) encourages 2025-26 college students, graduate students, and their parents in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia to enter to win a $2,500 no essay scholarship sweepstakes through the Keystone Student Loan Program.
“We’re pleased to offer this scholarship sweepstakes to our neighboring states,” said Senator Wayne Fontana, Chairman of the PHEAA Board of Directors. “We’re incredibly proud to offer the Keystone Student Loan Program, which enables students to cover the gap between financial aid and the cost of tuition with an affordable private loan. The winners of this scholarship sweepstakes will find an even easier way to reduce cost of college at no additional cost to themselves.”

Anyone who opts in to receive communications, which will include tips on planning for and paying for college, between June 5 and December 15, 2025, will be entered into the scholarship sweepstakes. A total of 12 winners will be selected in August and in December this year, prior to each semester.
“We’re pleased to offer this scholarship sweepstakes to college students, grad students, and their parents in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia,” said James Steeley, PHEAA President & CEO. “There’s no essay required so anyone can enter to win a $2,500 scholarship in just minutes. Perhaps even more importantly, those same entrants will receive information to help them plan for and pay for higher education.”

Residents of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia, and West Virginia are eligible to enter the Keystone Scholarship Sweepstakes. Visit KeystoneStudentLoans.org/ss to enter.
The PA Forward Scholarship Sweepstakes, offered by the PA Forward Student Loan Program, is open to Pennsylvania residents only. They can enter the sweepstakes at pheaa.org/ss.
