Perdue ABLE Sustainability Fund
The Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, Inc. is pleased to offer a stipend of up to $1,000 to Perdue School of Business undergraduate students who choose to complete their ABLE internship with a focus on green businesses or sustainability business projects. This award recognizes outstanding work and encourages continued academic and professional growth.
Eligibility: To be eligible for this award, applicants must:
1. Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in the Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University.
• Students who complete the internship or have completed a sustainability business project during an ABLE alternate course and graduate in the same semester are also eligible.
2. Have completed at least one ABLE internship during the current academic year with a focus on green businesses or sustainability. Or, have completed a sustainability business project during an ABLE alternate course.
3. Have demonstrated exceptional performance and dedication to their assigned tasks.
4. Have made significant contributions to the organization’s goals and objectives.
5. Have earned a “B” or better in their ABLE internship course or ABLE alternate course.
Application Requirements (for students who have completed an ABLE internship):
1) Application Form: Complete the application form, providing detailed information about your internship experience, academic achievements, and future goals.
2) Employer Evaluation: Submit a copy of your employer’s final evaluation to support your performance. Make written request to ABLE office if you need a copy.
3) Resume: Submit your resume – which should be updated to reflect your internship experience.
4) Letter of Recommendation: Provide a letter of recommendation from your internship supervisor or mentor who can attest to your contributions and potential.
Application Requirements (for students who have completed an ABLE alternate-projects course):
1. Application Form: Complete the application form, providing a detailed summary of your sustainability project, academic achievements, and future goals.
2. Client Assessment: Submit an assessment from your client to support your performance.
3. Resume: Submit your resume – which should be updated to reflect your project experience.
4. Letter of Recommendation: Provide a letter of recommendation from your instructor who can attest to your contributions and potential.
Selection Criteria: The selection committee will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:
• Application
• Performance during the project
• Contribution to the organization
• Letter of recommendation
Deadline:
• For ABLE course completed in summer and fall: December 31 | For ABLE course completed in spring: April 30
Award Notification: Applicants will be notified of the award decision within 45 days following the submission deadline.
