Alumni Association International Scholarship (AA-I)
The University System of Maryland, through the Alumni Association – International (AA-I), Incorporated, established the AA-I Scholarship to recognize exemplary students from Maryland matriculating through a University System of Maryland institution. This scholarship was established as a legacy from AA-I in their belief that a solid education can contribute to making all students great leaders. The AA-I scholarship will be bestowed upon a Salisbury University student who demonstrates academic achievement, strong commitment to community service, and leadership ability. Incoming freshman and transfer applicants must have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.25. Current Salisbury University undergraduate students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or above. Students must be Maryland residents and all applicants must enroll as full-time undergraduate students. A letter of recommendation is required. The scholarship may be held for a maximum of 8 semesters of undergraduate study if awarded as a freshman.
The deadline to have ALL application material submitted, including both letters of recommendations, is April 1st. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Salisbury University is a Division III member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and therefore athletic leadership, ability, participation or performance cannot be utilized as a criterion in the determination of your financial aid award. As you apply for scholarships within Salisbury University’s Academic Works scholarship site please do not mention athletic leadership, ability, participation or performance within the essay as it will remove you from consideration for the scholarship to ensure Salisbury University’s continued compliance with Bylaw 15.4.1 of the NCAA regulations.
