Our Opportunities

Welcome to Salisbury University’s Scholarship Portal!

Salisbury University awards more than $2 million annually in SU Foundation scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. These scholarships are made possible through the generous support of alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, campus organizations, and other supporters of the University.
Please review the information below carefully before beginning your scholarship application.

Important Scholarship Application Information

2027–28 Scholarship Application Cycle — Opens December 1, 2026

The 2027–28 SU Foundation Scholarship Applications open December 1, 2026, for ALL eligible students, including:
• Newly admitted first-year and transfer students entering Salisbury University in Fall 2027.
• Currently enrolled SU undergraduate and graduate students who plan to attend during the 2027–28 academic year.

Please do not complete the General Scholarship Application for the 2027–28 academic year before December 1, 2026. Beginning December 1, students should log in to the SU Scholarship Portal and complete the new General Application for the 2027–28 academic year. A new General Application is required each academic year.
Scholarship application deadlines vary, so students are encouraged to review available opportunities and check the portal regularly.

Current 2026–27 Scholarship Opportunities
The SU Scholarship Portal remains open for currently enrolled students seeking scholarship opportunities for the 2026–27 academic year. Students who have completed the 2026–27 General Application (and Conditional Application, if applicable) should check their Recommended scholarship opportunities under the Opportunities tab on their dashboard.
A limited number of scholarships may still be available for the current academic year, including opportunities with deadlines during the Fall 2026 semester. Not all students will have a Recommended list. This simply means the system has not identified any additional scholarship opportunities requiring an application for which the student currently meets the eligibility criteria. Students are encouraged to check the portal regularly for updates and upcoming scholarship deadlines.

Who Can Apply?
The SU Scholarship Portal is available to:
• Newly admitted first-year and transfer students.
• Currently enrolled Salisbury University undergraduate students.
• Currently enrolled Salisbury University graduate students.
Students enrolled in non-degree or certificate programs are not eligible to apply. Students enrolled through UMGC in the Germany Social Work Program are also not eligible for SU scholarships.

How Do I Apply for Scholarships?
Step 1: Sign In
Select Sign In in the upper-right corner of the portal and log in using your SU username and password.

Step 2: Complete Your General Application
Complete all required questions in the Profile Information section and submit your General Scholarship Application.
A new General Application is required for each academic year. Some students may also be prompted to complete a Conditional Application based on their academic program or other eligibility criteria.

Step 3: Review Your Scholarship Opportunities
After completing your application, the system will automatically match you with scholarship opportunities based on the information available.

There are two types of scholarship opportunities:
• Auto-Matched Scholarships: No additional application is required. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you will automatically be included in the applicant pool.
• Apply-To (Recommended Scholarships): These opportunities require additional action, such as answering supplemental questions, submitting an essay, or providing information for a letter of recommendation. Select Opportunities > Recommended to review and apply. Not all students will have Recommended Scholarships available.

Step 4: Complete Additional Applications and Monitor Deadlines
Be sure to complete all required supplemental application materials by the scholarship’s posted deadline. Deadlines vary by scholarship.

Step 5: Check Back Regularly – New scholarship opportunities may become available throughout the application cycle. Students are responsible for reviewing their scholarship dashboard and completing any additional applications by the posted deadlines.

FAFSA and Financial Need-Based Scholarships Some SU Foundation scholarships require students to demonstrate financial need. To be considered for these scholarships, students must complete the appropriate academic year’s Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Check out the SU Financial Aid website for for updates about FAFSA: How Do I Apply For Financial Aid

The 2027–28 FAFSA is now available!
Students planning to attend SU during the 2027–28 academic year are encouraged to complete the FAFSA as soon as possible at StudentAid.gov.
If a scholarship requires FAFSA information to determine eligibility, students should allow approximately 3–4 business days after submitting the FAFSA for updated information to become available in the Scholarship Portal.
Students should check their Recommended Opportunities periodically after FAFSA information has been processed.

Please note: Incoming student academic merit scholarships and SU Fund need-based grants are generally determined through the admissions application and/or FAFSA and do not require an application through the Scholarship Portal.
Incoming students can estimate their potential financial aid using SU’s Net Price Calculator tool. For more information on calculating potential incoming merit and need-based awards at SU, check out the Net Price Calculator

How Will I Know If I Receive a Scholarship?
Students selected to receive an SU Foundation scholarship will be notified by email.
• Currently enrolled students: Notifications will be sent to your SU email address.
• Incoming first-year and transfer students: Notifications will be sent to your personal email address on file.

Submitting a General Application or an individual scholarship application does not guarantee selection. Students who are not selected may not receive an email notification.
Scholarship Award Amounts: Published scholarship amounts are estimates and are subject to change based on available funding and current scholarship commitments.
